Bring your 8 to 14 year old(s) to St Lawrence Market for a fun and tasty, interactive cooking class. Classes run appropriately 90 minutes, which still leaves time to explore and shop the amazing market after class.

SUMMER FRESH FREEZER JAM

Saturday July 14, 2018 (2:00-3:30 pm)
Learn how to turn the best summer fruit into tasty preserves to enjoy all year long. In this hands-on class, each family will make (and leave with) two jars of their own freezer jam. (Jars included). Plus learn how to make fresh scones to sample with your jam before you go!

Price: $50.00 plus HST for one adult and one child/youth.

SUMMER FRESH PASTA
Saturday July 28, 2018 (2:00-3:30 pm)
In this hands-on class, you will learn how to make pasta dough from scratch, turn it into delicious ravioli and enjoy it with homemade Basil Pinenut Pesto (or our nut-free tomato sauce). Sample some before you go, and take a little home for later.
Price: $50.00 plus HST for one adult and one child/youth.

In this hands-on class, we will explore three different cuts, cooking styles and sauces (and rubs) for slow cooked BBQ baby back ribs, quick cooked Kalbi short ribs and beer-braised beef ribs. *This class includes both beef and pork ribs.

Love to cook or want to hone your culinary skills? Our Saturday ‘Market Fresh' classes are perfect for beginner chefs who want to learn the basics of baking, preserving or classic cooking techniques. Classes are small – usually 12 to 18 people – and cost $60/per person plus HST.


If you are looking for an alternative to dining out,  'Dinner Party' classes are held in the fall, winter and spring. These classes are designed to help you entertain at home, and are a great way to explore the diverse ingredients SLM has to offer. These classes allow you to work as part of a team to create a culturally-themed meal, inspired by places such as Tuscany, Morocco or Provence. Then, sit down and enjoy being served a three course meal that you helped prepare! Includes cheese and wine pairing tips. Wine and beer are for sale by the glass. Classes are usually 15 to 18 people and cost $90/per person plus HST.
